tender mercies

wow! i'm so overwhelmed by all of the tender mercies i've had in my life lately! the other night i saw this quote in seminary and LOVED it.

i am so thankful for Jesus Christ; he lives and loves us so much! on saturday i went to sadies, and we had a super cool experience! we went to get hot chocolate from 7-11 after the dance [sidenote: i reallyreally love hot chocolate and 7-11 has the best kind! it's becoming an addiction..]

we ran into some friends and chatted for a few minutes, and then left. i was following a truck, and they were going super slow so i gave them a little honk and they straightened out.they still weren't driving in their lane so i was starting to get a little nervous. [dang trucks!]

my friend andrew said, "give them a little space, i think they might be drunk."
i backed off, and seconds later the truck swerved into oncoming traffic and eventually went off-roading.

if my friend wouldn't have had that feeling to 'back off''  we would've been right where the truck swerved. if we wouldn't have stopped to talk to our friends at 7-11 we would've been right next to that truck. who knows what would've happened..

i'm thankful i was with three of my best friends that are all close to the spirit. god is continually watching out for us, and works on our prayers even when we don't feel like it.
